The Academus Edition is a series intended for the publication of critical editions of musical works. Its volumes are created in accordance with contemporary methods of textual criticism and musical philology.
This is an open-ended editorial series without a focus on any specifically defined historical periods or musical genres. Its goal is to make available important monuments of music, areas of repertoire, or major works by significant composers, regardless of their nationality. The edition focuses preferentially on repertoire that has not yet been published, and one of its goals is the mapping of unknown or lesser-known areas of Czech music history.
